My advice to anyone on statin drugs is to strongly consider using high doses of aloe vera + blueberries to safety transition off statin drugs (all under the supervision of a naturopathic physician, of course). Aloe vera won't kill you like statin drugs can, either. Aloe is completely safe to eat like a food. Given the cholesterol benefits of aloe and blueberries, statin drugs are actually obsolete. There are natural alternatives that are far safer, less expensive and more effective. Aloe vera is one of them. Click here to read more articles on aloe vera and cholesterol.
Work with a naturopathic physician to learn more. Aloe vera halts inflammation Using aloe topically is well known to ease inflammation of joints, reducing arthritis pain. But aloe can also be used internally, reducing inflammation throughout the body from the inside out. People who drink aloe vera for two weeks typically begin to experience a significant reduction of inflammation symptoms. For a list of studies and references, click here. Aloe vera enhances skin health Aloe is one of the most widely-used ingredients in high-grade skin care products.
In my personal opinion, based on more than 5,000 hours of research into nutrition and disease prevention, I believe this product is a genuine cure for many cancers, and I urge anyone battling cancer to investigate this product and work with their naturopathic physician to incorporate this product into their own natural therapies. I have no financial ties whatsoever with the company and do not earn anything from the sale of this product. The FDA and AMA would strongly disagree with my opinions. A wonderful anti-cancer meal is Juvo, which you'll find at www.GoJuvo.
To support the mind AND the body, visit a naturopathic physician who can offer you supportive, healing therapies that offer real solutions without destroying your health in the process. The mind makes it real There have been many, many documented cases where a doctor or an oncologist told patients they had some particular disease, then the patient spontaneously developed consistent observable symptoms of that disease, even creating skin lesions, warts, or tumors.
A naturopath would use the dripping water as a clue, but then ask: what is the underlying fundamental cause of this water dripping into the home? The naturopathic physician would trace the water back to the stain in the ceiling, and this stain would indicate that water has been chronically dripping in from a leaky roof. Then, he would trace it through the attic to the roof and find a hole in the roof. After a bit of detective work, he (or she) would decide to patch the hole, repair the roof and stop the leaking water at its source.
Vitamin E: 400 IU twice per day • Evening primrose oil: 1,500 mg twice per day If there is no change after three menstrual cycles, then incorporate a more assertive approach utilizing some of the other therapies listed, or see a naturopathic physician for individualized recommendations and, especially, prescription aqueous iodine. I cannot confirm the effectiveness or safety of this practice, and the research is not yet clear on the safety of long-term natural progesterone and breast health. There is more information about this in Chapter 12.
NES Case Overview: Rosa Rosa came to NES practitioner and naturopathic physician Jason Siczkowycz because for nearly five years she had suffered from severe bouts of nausea and vomiting. Her medical doctors had conducted a battery of tests over the years, but the tests were all negative and a cause for her problem was never identified. Rosa had taken various prescription medicines, but none helped much. When she visited Siczkowycz, her first NES scan showed that her Big Field alignment was distorted and her Kidney Driver was severely distorted.
TIP: GET ASSESSED FOR HEAVY METAL TOXICITY A naturopathic physician can determine the levels of heavy metals, such as mercury, in your system. These have a strong affinity with the nervous system and may contribute to depression. HOMEOPATHY Feelings that will respond well to the remedies suggested below are more appropriately described as the "blues," rather than a full-scale episode of moderate to severe clinical depression. The latter can be greatly helped by an experienced homeopathic practitioner.
Consult a naturopathic physician about parenteral administration. HOMEOPATHY Shock constitutes a medical emergency and demands immediate medical treatment. Examples of this kind of medical condition include anaphylactic shock that has set in as a result of a severe allergic reaction, or symptoms of shock that have developed as a consequence of significant blood loss. This type of condition clearly goes beyond the remit of first aid prescribing.

Walter Lemmo, a naturopathic physician, discusses other recent studies showing the benefits of nutritional treatments. In 2001, a report in the American Journal of Psychiatry found "significant improvement" in patients who received 100 milligrams of vitamin B6 daily increasing weekly over four weeks in 100 milligram units to a total of 400 milligrams per day. Another 2001 study, this one in the Archives of General Psychiatry, found that schizophrenic patients receiving 10 milligrams per day of melatonin demonstrated a reduction in their TD symptoms.
A friend suggested that Bill visit a nutritionally oriented naturopathic physician. The doctor recommended a diet emphasizing protein and vegetables, and he asked Bill to avoid soft drinks and fast foods. He recommended that Bill take several natural mood-enhancing supplements, including 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA), and B vitamins. During this time, the doctor was able to wean Bill from prescription antidepressant and antianxiety drugs.
Before using supplements to help prevent or treat stroke, be sure to consult a naturopathic physician who will work with your neurologist or primary-care physician to create a full treatment regimen. Aspirin vs. Stroke Because aspirin can cause bleeding, it is typically avoided by people who have had a hemorrhagic stroke, which occurs when a blood vessel bursts in the brain. New finding: In a study of 207 hemorrhagic stroke survivors, those who took an antiplatelet drug, such as aspirin, were not at increased risk for another hemorrhage.

NES Case Overview: Mark Lynette Frieden, a naturopathic physician and chiropractor, began seeing Mark when he was seven years old, and he has been under her care for a year. Although he has never been medically diagnosed with autism or attention deficit disorder, Mark displays most of the symptoms. His mother tells his story in her own words. "Mark was born twenty-three days before his due date. He had a variety of odd health problems, such as weight loss, vomiting (from just a little to projectile), and nonstop crying.
Sonja Pettersen, a naturopathic physician in Arizona, explains. "It helps remove unwanted residues and helps activate enzymes. It's a natural anti-inflammatory and it's nutrient dense." Indeed, chlorophyll-containing plants—such as spirulina, chlorel-la, and wild blue-green alga—are an essential part of the healing armament in traditional Chinese medicine and other Eastern practices. As far as chlorophyll's reputation as a "blood builder," there may be some scientific basis for this.
Although she continued to see her allopathic physician, she decided to also see a naturopathic physician who also is a NES practitioner. The NES scan showed Skin Driver as the most distorted aspect of Heidi's body-field, so that was the Infoceutical she was given. Skin Driver links energetically to epithelial cells and to mucosae, especially of the bowels and lungs, so it was not surprising that it showed a severe distortion in her scan.
When she visited NES practitioner and naturopathic physician Jason Siczkowycz, her scan showed her Source energy was severely depleted and her Stomach Driver was severely weakened, so she took these two Infoceuticals daily for six weeks. When she returned to Siczkowycz's office for another scan, she reported that her abdominal pain was gone. The new scan showed her Source Driver and Stomach Driver as fully functional. 11 Big Field Influences IN THE SUMMER OF 2005, a woman named Ann e-mailed the NES US office to ask about the Infoceuticals.
Use an herbal cleanout formula. naturopathic physician Hulda Regehr Clark, ND, Ph.D., recommends using a blend of three herbs to flush the parasites out of your system: black walnut hull tincture, wormwood capsules, and freshly ground cloves (to kill the parasites' eggs). (Her protocol is very specific; see Resources.) Antiparasite Dietary and Herbal Support If you suspect a parasitic infection, you should eliminate all uncooked foods from your diet and cook all meats until well-done.

Fasting can be an effective way to detoxify the body and, subsequently, improve energy levels. It works by giving the organs and cells of the body a rest from some of the metabolic functions they perform every second of the day.
According to naturopathic physician and educator Michael T. Murray, ND, author of Natural Alternatives to Prozac, the cause may be in your hormones. "The key hormonal change may be reduced secretion of melatonin from the pineal gland and an increased secretion of Cortisol by the adrenal glands." Both of these hormones affect mood; studies have found decreased melatonin and increased Cortisol in depressed patients. Reduced duration and intensity of sunlight in winter throws off the body's internal clock and its levels of melatonin, the sleep-inducing hormone.

NES Case Overview: Jake Three-year-old Jake came to Lynette Frieden, a naturopathic physician and chiropractor, in early 2006. Jake is severely disabled with Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease, which is a rare hereditary disease of the nervous system that is progressive and degenerative. His motor skills and intellectual capacity are severely limited. Like most children with this disease, Jake is confined to a wheelchair, with his head stabilized because of lack of neck muscle tone. His vocal cords are partially paralyzed, and although he can make sounds, he is nonverbal.
Randolph was eighty years old at the time he sought NES practitioner and naturopathic physician Jason Siczkowycz's assistance. Six months prior, he had been hospitalized with pneumonia, and since that time he had debilitating fatigue. He reported that he could barely function: simply showering and shaving in the morning would so exhaust him that he had to go back to bed. He visited Siczkowycz looking for an answer because his regular health care professionals were at a loss as to how to help him. His NES scan revealed that his Source energy was severely depleted.
I did not attend a support group but booked a consultation with Luanne Pennessi at Metropolitan Wellness Center and began a series of drips under the care of a naturopathic physician. Green and red powders, supplements, and a vegan diet changed my body and returned me to my health. My blood pressure is normal. I no longer have glaucoma. I consider Gary to be my teacher and follow the protocol. My hair is thicker and curly again. Using Gary's night cream reduced brown skin spots. My mercury fillings were removed in 2002.

Hyperglycemia, if unchecked, can lead to fatal consequences, so it is important to work closely with a naturopathic physician to ensure your blood sugar levels are under control. Body Odor Body odor is an excellent indication of a person's health. While there are many ways to treat the symptoms of body odor, the only way to eliminate unpleasant body odor is to address it's underlying causes, which include a diet weak in nutrition, heavy in processed foods and lacking in minerals and probiotics. I encourage you to take the 48-hour no-deodorant test to assess your current internal health.
Many prescription drugs can interfere with supplements, so be sure to check with your naturopathic physician about combinations that should be avoided. How to take Healing Foods and Herbs The best option is always to seek out the food or herb as a whole food, preferably organic, and consume the item in its raw state (unless of course it is one of the rare foods that must be cooked prior to ingestion, like taro).
