| Lust purchased the term "naturopathy" from Scheel in 1902 to describe the eclectic compilation of doctrines of natural healing that he envisioned to be the future of natural medicine. In January of 1902, Lust, who had been publishing the Kneipp Water Cure Monthly and its German language counterpart in New York since 1896, changed the name of the journal to The Naturopathic and Herald of Health and evoked the dawn of a new health care era with the following editorial:

| Bovine spleen extracts
The most specific natural medicine for pneumococcal pneumonia appears to be bovine spleen extracts (see Ch. 41). The importance of spleen function in preventing pneumococcal pneumonia is demonstrated by examining post-splenectomy syndrome. One of the hallmark features of this syndrome is an increased risk of pneumococcal pneumonia. About 2.5% of patients having their spleen removed will die from pneumococcal pneumonia within 5 years of splenectomy. |

 Getting acupuncture to cure your back pain so that you can continue to sit on the couch, avoid physical exercise, and eat junk foods isn't "natural medicine." It's just allopathic medicine with acupuncture needles as the tool. Similarly, curing your depression with St. John's Wort isn't natural medicine, either. It's just another ingested chemical to cover up the symptoms of a much deeper problem. Healthy people don't need St. John's Wort for mental health. |

 REPPED: If you've been following the debate over the FDA's new CAM Guidelines (click here for latest update) that threaten to destroy natural medicine by regulating herbs, supplements and even vegetable juices as "unapproved drugs," you've no doubt heard the opposing opinion by some natural health commentators who claim the guidelines say nothing new. Some are even saying the CAM Guidelines are a "non issue" and represent "no big deal."

| The FDA, you see, is smart enough to know it can't just announce a massive, sweeping ban of everything in the world of natural medicine. Too many people would march in the streets. So it has to first test the waters with a "line of thinking" document in order to gauge the public reaction. That's the real purpose of the CAM Guidelines document. It's really just a test to see if anybody's paying attention.
If that passes muster and the public outcry isn't too loud, the next step is to start issuing regulations and taking actions based on that line of thinking. |
| The FDA is laying the groundwork to censor or regulate every substance used in natural medicine, and the CAM Guidelines document is a "playbook" that reveals how this might unfold.
This is how it's done by arrogant government departments: Float an idea piece, write regulations, then start applying those regulations until they become accepted as "the way things are done." At each step, the FDA is gauging the public reaction, or even trying to slip it all under the radar so they can later claim something like, "Nobody complained before! |
 Painful periods can be transformed into painless periods through natural medicine. Chinese medicine is especially good at supporting this transformation. Diet plays a huge role, too.
Take responsibility for your health rather than abandoning it
Solving the health problem rather than simply masking it is the responsible thing to do with your body. It's not an overnight solution like the seductively easy Lybrel pill, but it is a far wiser and more wholesome solution that honors your body rather than hijacking its natural functions. Chemical are not the answer to your health problems. |
 The agency routinely invents or exaggerates selected piece of information to justify any action it desires to take against natural medicine.
12) Thanks to lax FDA drug safety standards, U.S. citizens are now routinely treated as guinea pigs by drug companies, and the real dangers of new drugs are only realized after they harm or kill tens of thousands of patients. The FDA remains consistently slow to pull dangerous drugs off the market.

There's really no such thing as "cancer"
Remember this: I've had cancer a thousand times in my life already. So have you. We beat it automatically, unknowingly, routinely... with a functioning immune system and a little help from nature's medicines (found in foods and botanicals). Every person gets cancerous cells in their body, no exceptions. So don't be scared by talk that you've "GOT cancer." There is actually no such thing as a "cancer" disease. |
 If you choose natural medicine or alternative medicine (I am using the terms interchangeably here), you always have the potential to return to a perfect state of health, because you have not harmed your vital organs in the process.
First, do no harm
It is interesting that conventional medicine claims it abides by the concept of first do no harm, yet it openly contradicts that claim in practically everything it does. Most conventional doctors and oncologists actually harm patients. |
